What is the Perfect Derma Peel?

The Perfect Derma Peel is a chemical peel formulated with the holy grail antioxidant, glutathione. And while most peels only contain one type of acid, this peel contains Kojic Acid, TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid), Phenol, Salicylic Acid, Vitamin C and Retinoic Acid.

What are the benefits of the Perfect Derma Peel?

One of the perfect things about this peel is that because of the blend of all these ingredients, it can tackle a variety of concerns at once.

The Perfect Derma Peel offers several benefits for the skin, including:

  • Reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improving the appearance of acne scars
  • Diminishing the look of age spots and other forms of hyperpigmentation, including melasma
  • Evening out the skin tone and texture
  • Reducing the size of pores
  • Brightening the appearance of your skin

Does the Perfect Derma Peel hurt?

If you still don’t think this chemical peel is perfect, will the part where it contains a numbing ingredient change your mind? Some patients report slight stinging upon the application which tends to pass after about 30 to 60 seconds before the numbing agent plays its role. This truly is a one-of-a-kind chemical peel.

What can I expect with the Perfect Derma Peel?

The skin will be double cleansed and prepped for the peel. The actual application of the peel only takes about 5 minutes and puts the whole treatment under 30 minutes from start to finish. Right after the application, some patients’ skin may appear a bit red or darker. This is a normal response from contact with the active ingredients as well as some of the ingredients’ natural color. The day of the peel counts as day 1.

On the second day, your skin will feel tight and dry. If your skin is too itchy, you can apply the moisturizer that is provided in your take home kit. If you haven’t started peeling on day 2 expect to start the peeling process on day 3 which usually finishes on day 7. Although some may have residual sloughing of the skin for an extra day or two.

While normal activities can be resumed post-peel, we recommend against heavy exercise (and sweating), as well as saunas, hot tubs or pools throughout the week, to avoid any irritation. It is recommended to wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup. And most importantly, try to avoid sun exposure for at least 2 weeks. This reduces risk of hyperpigmentation, scarring, and allows clients to get the best results from their treatment.

How Long Do Results Last?

Although you will see and feel a dramatic change in your skin, for the best results, 2-4 chemical peels are recommended. The results of a Perfect Derma Peel typically last from 3 to 6 months. However, it is important to note that results may vary depending on the individual’s skin type and condition, and after care in particular.

To maintain the results of a Perfect Peel, it is important to:

  • Wear sunscreen every day
  • Try to avoid sun exposure
  • Be on a skincare regimen
  • Exfoliate regularly
  • Get regular facials
